Following our partnership with Vodafone in the UK, the
option to use a mobile phone to get Ukash has seen outstanding take
up
Online cash payment provider Ukash is the latest company to
benefit from the convenience of shopping, paying and playing online
with mobile phones.
- Ukash has seen the number of vouchers bought from mobiles
double every month in the last year
- 1 in 5 of all Ukash vouchers are now purchased with a mobile
phone
Ukash provides consumers with a safe and easy way to pay online.
Mobile phone users access the secure Ukash Mobile web page and
within moments they receive a text with their unique 19-digit Ukash
voucher number and they are then ready to shop online. The value of
the £10 voucher is debited from the user's mobile phone bill,
regardless of whether they are a contract or pre-pay customer.
Also available from thousands of convenient stores across the
UK, Ukash launched UkashMobile vouchers in December 2007, allowing
those without a bank account or who simply wish to keep financial
details private to get vouchers anytime, anywhere using their
mobile.
Mark Chirnside, CEO of Ukash said, "Customers clearly value
the convenience of being able to get a Ukash voucher quickly and at
any time, from home or work, using their 'phones. The success of
our mobile offering has been outstanding and we predict the sales
to keep on going up and account for a third of our total voucher
issues in 2009."
Ukash vouchers can be redeemed on hundreds of lifestyle,
shopping, Voice over IP, social networking, virtual worlds and
gaming websites in seven countries.
