• What is Ukash air?

  Ukash air is a Ukash product offering that allows consumers to use their Ukash voucher to top up prepaid mobile phones of friends, family and colleagues in many countries around the world - outside the one in which the sender resides.

• How can I top up someone’s prepaid phone in another country?

  It is very easy. Simply choose the country from drop down menu here, fill in the rest of the recipient's prepaid mobile number, choose the amount you wish to top up and enter your Ukash voucher number to pay. The recipient will be notified via SMS and instantly credited the airtime credit you sent.

• Who can send airtime?

  Anybody with a valid Ukash voucher can send airtime with Ukash air.

• Who can receive Ukash air top up?

  Anyone who has a prepaid mobile phone with a supported operator in a country Ukash air is available. The list of countries is in the drop down menu here.

• Which operators do you support in the destination / recipient’s countries?

  Find the latest list of operators here.

• Is Ukash air available 24/7?

  Yes, you can top up your friends' and family's mobile phones at any time.

• How do I write a local number in international number format?

  We have made it easier for you to figure it out. When you select the country in which you wish to top up someone else's mobile phone, the international country code will be automatically inputted. All you need to do then is type in the full mobile number. Note that some countries with local mobile numbers beginning with 0 may require the 0 to be removed when using the international format required here.

• Do you charge any transaction fees to the sender or recipient?

  No. The cost you see associated with the airtime product you select is the only cost you will have to pay. There are no hidden fees.

• Will I be charged if the airtime top up was unsuccessful?

  No. If top up was unsuccessful, you will receive a new Ukash voucher code for the full amount you paid.

• How do I know that the recipient has in fact received the airtime I sent?

  You will receive a screen confirming airtime has been sent and if you choose to enter your mobile number, you will also receive a free SMS confirmation.

• Is there a minimum amount I have to send?

  Each recipient country will have different minimum prices, which will be dictated by the lowest value product available. You will be presented with the available options for the mobile number you choose to send airtime to.

• Is there a maximum amount I can send?

  Each recipient country will have different maximum prices, which will be dictated by the highest value product available. You will be presented with the available options for the mobile number you choose to send airtime to.

• Is there a limit as to how many airtime top ups I can do in any given time period?

  Although Ukash does not impose any limits on Ukash air, some operators may. If the recipient's operator has placed such limits and those are reached, you will receive an error message saying "Daily limit exceeded" and you will not be charged.

• Can I send airtime to someone in my own country?

  No. Ukash air is only available for airtime top up in countries other than the one in which you reside.

• What happens if I enter the wrong destination mobile number?

  If you enter the wrong destination mobile number, and the number you entered is a valid number, the mobile number entered will be topped up when you confirm the transaction.

• Is there any way to get top up credit back to me if I sent credit to the wrong mobile number?

  Unfortunately, if you sent airtime to the wrong mobile number, we are unable to take it away from the recipient.

• What happens if I want to buy airtime which costs less than the value of my Ukash voucher?

  A new 'change' Ukash voucher will be issued to you immediately for the remaining balance from your original voucher.

• Will the change be in the same currency as my original voucher?

  Yes, change will be in the same currency.

• How long does it take airtime to be sent?

  Airtime top up will take place within a few seconds and, in rare cases, up to a couple of minutes. To be sure that your airtime has been sent, please remain on the page that is processing your transaction.

• Does the recipient get the credit immediately?

  Yes, as soon as you get the screen confirmation that airtime has been successfully sent to the recipient.

• Can the recipient start using the sent airtime immediately?

  The recipient will receive an SMS notification and will then be able to use their airtime balance.

• Which countries can I top-up mobile airtime to?

• I received an error message saying “MSISDN out of range”. What does this mean?

  You may have entered an incorrect prepaid number. Make sure that the destination is a mobile prepaid number. Post-paid numbers and landlines are not supported.

• I received an error message saying “Operator not supported”. What does this mean?

  The number you entered belongs to an operator that we do no support yet. We will continue to work on increasing our network of supported operators. Please try again later or try topping up someone else's mobile.

• I received an error message saying “Top-up refused”. What does this mean?

  Your transaction has been refused due to a technical problem occurring during the top up process. You have not been charged and a new Ukash voucher has been generated, please take note of it and try again later.

• I received an error message saying “Daily limit exceeded”. What does this mean?

  Ukash does not impose limits but some receiving mobile operators have set restrictions regarding the number of reload transactions or amount per day. Please try again tomorrow.

• I received an error message saying “Monthly limit exceeded”. What does this mean?

  Ukash does not impose limits but some receiving mobile operators have set restrictions regarding the number of reload transactions or amount per day. Please try again next month.

• What can I do with my change?

  Spend it at any Ukash-accepting merchants.
